The Last Church

1. The Holy Bible (66 books) is the only authoritative, infallible, Word of God, written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
2. God - God (Father=Yahweh) is Spirit, and the Spirit (Holy Spirit) came to earth in Flesh (Jesus), and called Himself the Son of God (Jesus) while He was on earth.
3. Creation - God created the heavens and the earth (the whole universe and everything in it) in 6 days. God created Adam in His own image on the 6th day, for His glory and for His praise. God rested on the 7th day.
4. Humans - All humans are the descendants of Adam and Eve. They all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23), and they are all destined to die. (Romans 6:23)
5. Prophets - God gave the 10 Commandments through Moses and sent prophets to warn coming disasters and to call people to repentance.
6. Jesus - God came to earth in Flesh (Jesus), through virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14), in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2), in the line of Judah (Isaiah 11:1, 10), dwelt among people (Immanuel), as prophesied in the Old Testament, to save all people from sins. (Isaiah 9:6) (John 1:1-18) Jesus healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, and preached the Kingdom of Heaven.
7. Salvation - Jesus died on the Cross to save all mankind from going to eternal hell. Whoever asks Jesus to forgive their sins will be saved, have eternal life (John 3:16), and become sons and daughters of God. And there is no other Savior besides Jesus. (John 14:6 - Jesus said to him, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.")
8. Resurrection and Ascension - Jesus was resurrected on the third day, and ascended into heaven in front of about 500 witnesses. (Matthew 28:1-10, 1 Corinthians 15:6)
9. Heaven - All followers of Jesus will be in heaven where there is no sin, no sickness, no pain, no sorrow, no devil or demons, no death.
10. Great Commission - All Christians are called to preach the Gospel, to save the lost from going to eternal hell. (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-18)
11. Church - Jesus is the head of the Church, and Christians are the body of the church of Christ. (Colossians 1:18)
12. Second Coming - Jesus will come back on the cloud, with angels, with the sound of trumpets, and every eye shall see and every tongue will confess that Jesus is the Lord. (Acts 1:9- 11, I Thessalonians 4:14-18, Matthew 24:29-31) Jesus is coming back to judge the world.
13. Hell - Satan, demons, false prophets, and all who reject Jesus as their Savior until their moment of death, will be in hell forever. (Revelation 20:10)
14. Marriage - The sanctity of marriage is a God-ordained, special union between one man and one woman, where sexual relations are both honored and affirmed by God (Gen. 1:27-28, 2:24- 25). The Bible teaches that all sexual unions outside of marriage are sinful (Heb. 13:4).
15. Sexual Immoratlity - Forms of the sin of sexual immorallity include adultry, fornication, homosexuality, incest, and pornography. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Lev. 18:22)
16. Church leaders - Men and women are made in the image of God, every person, regardless of race, religion, colour, culture, class, sex or age is called to the great commission and to be teachers and preachers. Therefore women can serve as pastors and every position just as men. (Galatians 3:28, Acts 10:34, Acts 2:17-18)
